It is with the greatest sense of shock and devastation, that we at the BECO Secretariat, received the heartbreaking news of the painful exit of Barr Bitrus Simon, indeed one of our most promising and focused youths.

We, in the current EXCO of BECO, have greatly enjoyed the unalloyed support, encouragement and professional inputs of Barr Bitrus in many of our programs, especially at the level of formulation, where his legal background was mostly relevant and needful.

Apart from his vast expertise and experience in many angles of human endeavour, Bitrus was a very resourceful heart, always willing to offer a helping hand. He never had a No for an answer, thus making him a rallying point in all the groups he belonged to.

At this youthful phase of his life, Barr Bitrus had achieved so much in the numerous lives he positively touched and the level of his educational attainment.

From his pursuit of knowledge and commitment to learning, Barr Bitrus Simon was preparing himself for the challenge of national and international leadership in the very near future. He was right on track.

Certainly, death at this point in time, was a rude shock, a very sad and painful deviation.

It is indeed, with painful hearts and total submission to the will of God that we accept the fact that Bitrus is no more.

The entire Berom nation, Plateau, Nigeria and humanity will sorely miss Barr Bitrus, for a long time to come. His memory will surely live on.

Barr B, because you live in our hearts, you will always be remembered.May God comfort the bereaved family, colleagues and friends.Sleep On Barrister B.
