The Berom Educational and Cultural Organisation (BECO) Each One Reach One Project commissions ten units solar street light at Wereng Community of Riyom LGA.
It will be recalled that the BECO President worldwide, Da Gyang Dudu Dalyop birthed a people orientated programme tagged EACH ONE REACH ONE with an intention to raise at least 100,000 Berom sons and daughters who can contribute N1,000 each for the period of three months, arithmetically, this will generate N300,000,000. Having kicked off in April 2021, despite the slow pace of the scheme, spirited individuals who have kept faith alive contributed which saw to the implementation of five interventions among which this very solar street light is one.
Presenting the solar light project to the community through the representative of the acting Gwom Wereng Da Samuel Dachung, Da Gyang Dudu Dalyop urged the community to take ownership of the project by guiding it diligently, He also called on every member of the community to key into the scheme by contributing for the salvage of Berom land.
BECO General Secretary, Da Chollom Gyang encouraged the community to be firm in defending the community, he asked them to be security conscious at all times.
Giving his goodwill message, the council Chairman, represented by his deputy Hon. Yakubu Elisha scored BECO high for reaching out to the hinterland, said this is developmental and promised that the LGA would support BECO towards the realization of their goals. The Chairman spoke passionately on the need for politicians to always reach out to the electorates not only when there’s a challenge.
Receiving the gesture on behalf of the community, the representative of the Ating Gwom Wereng underscores the importance of the project and assured BECO of their unalloyed support and loyalty.
Also appreciating BECO for its magnanimity, the councillor representing Wereng Hon. Joseph Pam Davou expressed gratitude for the provision of the street light which will aid in securing the community against its marauders.
