Students of BECO Comprehensive High School Kwi were visibly excited as Zere National Union of Berom Students (NUBES) Miss Dung Sarah Chuwang embarked on an outreach campaign to their school. In her effort to educate the younger ones with norms and values expected of them after secondary school. Zere used the opportunity to tell the students about NUBES as some of them may not be conversant with what it is and its workings. She encouraged the graduating students to be active in NUBES activities when they find themselves at higher level of their studies.

Guest speaker at the event, a famous Berom sensational music composer Dr Samdung Afrika spoke on the topic: “Berom Moral Values”. Samdung’s lecture centered extensively on the dangers of substance abuse, early marriage, under aged mining practices, child trafficking etc.
He emphasized on the need of advancement in education which is a panacea to societal building. Dr Samdung also motivated the students to be worthy ambassadors of Berom land in the future. He frown at how the Berom girl child is rated high in child trafficking index on the Plateau, and encouraged all relevant stakeholders to step up their campaign in mitigating the menace.

The visit also recorded presentation of learning materials from the coffers of Zere NUBES Miss Dung Sarah Chuwang as her contribution to the students to facilitate their learning. Miss Chuwang promised to do more for the school as part of her project of giving back to the society, she appreciated the proprietor and school management for the opportunity to extend her kind gesture to the school community.

Showing appreciation on behalf of the school, The Head boy and Head girl expreseed their gratitude for the visit, lecture and gifts. They prayed that God should open more doors of opportunities to the donor for many more humanitarian endeavours.
