BEROM NATION PAYS THANK YOU/FAREWELL VISIT TO GEN. I. S. ALI, COMMANDER OPSH/GOC 3rd ARMOURED DIVISION

The Berom nation through its tripartite Organizations, the Berom Educational and Cultural Organization (BECO), Berom Women Development Association (BEWDA) and the Berom Youth Moulders Association (BYM), paid a thank-you visit to General I. S. Ali, Commander of the OPSH/GOC 3rd Armoured Div, Jos. During the visit Da Gyang Dudu Dalyop, President of the BECO worldwide, speaking on behalf of the delegation, informed the General and his commanders that they were at the OPSH to formally thank him for his personal intervention in the return of of our people to their ancestral home in Jong, (Ropp District) of Gwol (Barkin Ladi) LGA.
During the visit an award of Excellence in Humanitarian Service, was presented to Gen. Ali, by the visitors. Presenting the award on behalf of Berom Organizations, BECO President worldwide, told his host that another essence for the meeting was to hail the General for providing a motorized solar powered borehole to the community, which will aid in making life bearable to the restored community.

Da Gyang Dudu Dalyop praised and eulogised the General and his team for outstanding military conduct in the discharge of their duties in Berom land and Plateau state in general. He prayed and wished Gen Ali well in his next assignment.

Responding with excitement on his face, General Ali appreciated Berom nation for the award and also for the hospitality he enjoyed throughout his stay in Jos. He urged the people of the state to sustain the relative peace that has been achieved so far. The General said that in order to harness the most desired peace, all hands must be on deck, which will automatically drive progress and development to the land. He called on the people to accord his successor the same reception and hospitality he enjoyed while in Jos.
General Ali assured the Berom nation that in the course of his handover note to his successor he will ensure a cordial working relationship between him and the Berom nation, in order to cement and foster the already established relation.

In conclusion, BECO Secretary General, Da Chollom Gyang prayed for the General for a successful military career even as he takes on new responsibility in the North East.
