The atmosphere at BECO Comprehensive High School Kwi was greeted with excitement and jubilation as the President Berom Educational and Cultural Organisation (BECO) worldwide, Da Gyang Dudu Dalyop commissions an e-library being a project of the school’s old students association under an umbrella “BEKOSA”.
Welcoming guests on behalf of school community, the school principal Mr Dandoro who was visibly excited with the gesture, thanked the old students for the project and also asked other spirited Berom sons and daughters to emulate them as the has numerous needs.
Delivering his speech, the national President of BEKOSA Mr Nuhu S. Pam explained the importance of old students to any institution, he said this program is aimed at delivering 60 sets of computers to the library but 8 pieces were currently delivered at the pilot stage.
Commissioning the Library to the glory of God and for the use of the students, Da Gyang Dudu Dalyop hailed the effort of the old students for the project, he said this has further boosted the confidence and morale of other patents which will in turn result to a significant increase in student enrollment which is currently at 293.
Da Gyang Dudu Dalyop later offered a scholarship to an orphan student whom he picked randomly from the students.
Giving their appreciation separately on behalf of the school, both the head boy and the head girl appreciated BEKOSA, and promised to be good ambassadors of the school to reciprocate the gesture.
Goodwill messages were received from the Secretary of Barkin ladi LGA Mr Yakubu Choji, Gwom Kwi Da Joshua Dung Kwon as well as Da Yakubu Taddy.
