It is with a profound state of sadness, pain and shock that the Berom Educational and Cultural Organization (BECO) writes to condole the immediate family, Mwaghavul nation, Plateau and Nigeria on the very painful exit of His Excellency, Prof Sonni G, Tyoden, an irreplaceable man, a consummate scholar, researcher, prolific writer and teacher, politician, husband, father, leader and an illustrious son of the state.

This is one death which took many by surprise, as we were not aware of his being ill or even on admission. However, as mortals we are bound to leave this part of eternity at the appointed time. He lived his time, ran his race, finished his course and now called to rest.

BECO joins the family, Mwaghavul nation, the state, friends and well-wishers across the globe, on behalf of the Berom nation, to mourn the passage of a rare gem, a gentleman, a man of peace and humility personified.

We pray God almighty to comfort all even as He grants eternal rest to our erstwhile Deputy Governor and leader. Sleep well Sir.
