The Berom Educational and Cultural Organisation (BECO) worldwide in conjunction with the”Women for Women International” held a one day Sensitization and Linkage parley with its Change Agents at Crispan Hotel Jos, Plateau State. In his opening remarks, BECO President world-wide, Da Gyang Dudu Dalyop welcomed all the various stakeholders to the meeting, He outlined the objectives of the meeting which includes the success story of the change agents, challenges, possible ways of mitigating violence against women amongst others. Da Gyang Dudu Dalyop assured all participants of a great time with the change agents.
Also giving her remarks on behalf of Women for Women International, Advocacy coordinator of the programme Mrs Zainab Gbobaniyi saluted BECO for mobilizing all the stakeholders present at the meeting, she introduced some of the achievements of the NGO which had impacted all ives all around Africa.
The Change Agents who were drawn from Rim, Riyom and Bachi communities all of Riyom LGA as well as Fan community of Barkin-Ladi LGA, speaking in turns, the change agents explained to their invited guests how they have all affected their various communities through advocacy on the dangers of gender based violence and segregation against the women folks in our communities, they all hailed the effort of Women for Women International for providing a leaning shoulder to all women in their communities.
The meeting thereafter went into an interactive session where various stakeholders responded to the presentation of the Change Agents, topmost on the topics of discussion are:
A) The menace of school enrolment for a girl child.
B) Wife Battery
C) Denial of political and social opportunities
D) Unfair distribution of Inheritance between the male and female children.

Also present were community leaders from Jol, Rim, Fan and Bachi. In company of the BECO President were the Vice President of BECO Da Jonathan Chundusu as well as the Secretary General Da Chollom Gyang.
