The news of the appointment of our son, brother and proud member of the Berom nation, Barr. Ibrahim James Pam, as Head of World Bank Accountability office, on acting capacity, may have taken many by surprise. However, for us at the BECO Secretariat and many Berom from far and wide, this was the answer to the ernest prayers. It also demonstrated your competence, capacity and credibility.
We have followed with very keen interest, your impressive and trail-blazing record of performance and accomplishments, at the global corporate world especially as an international lawyer and anti corruption expert.
Indeed your untainted track record has given us hope and confidence in this time of our multiplicity of challenges. It has also taught us that our detractors have failed woefully, in their efforts to tarnish the image of the Berom.
You have through your rare display of integrity, character and consistency, advertised and demonstrated the true spirit of the Berom man.
As we rejoice with you, we pray God to facilitate your confirmation to substantive status. This is because you are well able to deliver at that level and, even beyond.
