BEKOSA PAID CONDOLENCE VISIT TO BECO EXECUTIVES AT BECO SECRETARIAT

Individuals and organisations have continued to register in their condolences following the recent attack by Fulani terrorists which claimed the life of a teacher Mr Rwang Davou and his wife Mrs Sandra Rwang with the school Vice principal sustaining injuries. It will be recalled this dastardly act occured at the School premises on the 14th August, 2023 at broad day light.

The newly elected officials of BECO Kwi Old Students Association (BEKOSA) were at BECO secretariat this morning to condole with BECO being the custodian and proprietor of the school. BEKOSA frown at the attack and stressed emphatically that this carnage must be brought to an end by the responsible agencies of government.

Speaking on behalf of BEKOSA President, the Secretary General Elder Joshua Pam told BECO that they are really saddened by this unprovoked act which has become a stock in trade of th Fulani terrorists. Elder Joshua Pam read their demands as old students being critical stakeholders in the sustenance and reviving of their Alma Mater. Their demands are as follows:

  1. The leadership of Berom Educational and Cultural Organisation (BECO) to persuade government at the state and Federal levels to do everything possible within a shortest time to arrest and prosecute accordingly the perpetrators of this dastardly evil and give justice to the victims.
  2. As the students are preparing to resume back to school after holidays, we urge the school authority to as a matter of importance intensify efforts to beef up security in and around the school area in order to check insecurity and any possible attack in the near future.
  3. BEKOSA will love to work closely and in synergy with BECO to support the school in any way we can.
  4. A well equipped police outpost to be stationed at the school compound.

Responding on behalf of BECO, The Secretary General Da Chollom Gyang appreciated the old students for the show of love and concern, he said the organisation is consoled by this act of love exhibited old students who has not lost touch with the Alma Mater. He also announced that the family of the deceased have since scheduled the burial for Wednesday 23rd August, 2023. Da Chollom Gyang prayed God to guide and protect them in their future endeavours while wishing them a safe journey back to their various destinations.
