BECO FELICITATES WITH GBONG GWOM JOS OVER AWARD OF CFR.

His Highness

The President of the Berom Educational and Cultural Organisation (BECO), Da Gyang Dudu Dalyop and the Executive Council of the Organisation, on behalf of the entire Berom nation, rejoices with our Grand Patron, Da (Dr) Jacob Gyang Buba, the Gbong Gwom Jos, Chairman of the State Council of Chiefs and Emirs and President of the Jos Joint Traditional Council, on his award of the Commander of the Federal Republic (CFR), by the President and Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Alh. Muhammadu Buhari. No doubt this is well deserved and highly merited award and very timely too.

Having observed His Majesty’s unique style of leadership, at very close range, characterised by show of compassion for his subjects and determination to enthrone peaceful coexistence, unity and development in his domain, we are in no doubt, neither are we taken by surprise at this award.

There’s no gainsaying the fact that His Majesty’s domain is one of the most cosmopolitan in the entire country. This heterogeneous character which gave rise to rapid socio-economic development in the past, has been manipulated of recent, by agents of darkness and retrogression, to deliberately inaugurate an unfortunate reign of bloodshed. This has resulted in the loss of lives and destruction of valuable properties. We have observed with admiration and respect, the way His Majesty has not allowed the challenge to affect his determination to ensure that his domain remain peaceful.

While BECO congratulates His Majesty on this monumental recognition and reward, it is mindful of the need to appreciate Mr President for honouring us. This award is a sure sign of greater things to come. This is because, we are convinced that this award will spur His Majesty to even do more.

In conclusion, we in BECO, on behalf of Berom sons and daughters at home and in the diaspora, pray for greater and higher honours for His Majesty and the leadership of Berom nation, at all levels, as we display our God-given endowment in peace building, inter-communal coexistence, unity and good neighbourliness. We wish His Majesty, many more years of good health and goodwill from far and near, in the task of development of his domain.
Once more, Congratulations, Your Majesty.

Chollom Gyang.
Secretary General.
