BECO PRESIDENT ECHOES, PEACEFUL COEXISTENCE: A PANACEA TO SOCIETAL GROWTH
Today 14th September, 2026 the President of the Berom Educational and Cultural Organization (BECO) Worldwide, Da Gyang Dudu Dalyop received a team of peace advocates named, “Sustainable Peace Advocates” at BECO secretariat, Bukuru, Jos South LGA. Speaking through the leader of the team Mr Emmanuel Job Tupkop introduce the purpose of the visit which is to create awareness/familiarization to the president of one the largest ethnicity on the Plateau: the Berom nation. Tupkop said the aim and objective of the group is to breach the gap between communities and their representatives by reminding government of her major responsibility of welfare and security of lives and properties.
Mr Emmanuel said Plateau state has suffered severe pains arising from insecurity and sectarian crisis, as such peace building effort must be a priority of every stakeholder on the Plateau, He said the composition of the team is drawn from all over Plateau state.
Explaining further, Tupkop said they intend to visit all the various IDPs in the state as their own little way bringing hope, relief, advocacy and also to get first hand challenges for onward presentation to responsible agencies and representatives.
Responding, BECO President Worldwide, Da Gyang Dudu Dalyop welcomed the team to BECO secretariat, he also appreciated the honour for making BECO one of their early shop. Da Dudu, took time to go down history, outlining the root causes of the crisis and also the roles various administrations on the Plateau have played to curtail the menace. He said, no society can grow or experience meaningful development without sustained peace.
BECO President warned the group to wary of political interference in the course of their existence, he encouraged them to be focus and follow their instinct always with a determination to make a difference for the benefit of all citizens. He said youths must be resolute and defiant in protecting their communities from maruders and terrorist elements. Da Dudu told the group to always call on him for counsel whenever necessary.
In conclusion, Da Dalyop prayed and released blessings to the group for a successful engagements.
