Leadership of the Katsina-Daura Community in Plateau State have been
commended for being gender sensitive and all inclusive in their drive for
peaceful coexistence with their neighbors and host communities.

The Gbong Gwom Jos Da Jacob Gyang Buba gave the commendation when the
Katsina-Daura Community Association resident in Jos and environs led by its
Chairman Alhaji Rabiu Bindawa paid a New Year visit to his Palace in Jishe, Jos.

He applauded the peaceful conduct and manner in which the body coordinates
her people resident in the state over the years, describing as impressive the
number of women the association came along with during the visit.

Da Buba also used the opportunity to challenge the youth not to allow
themselves to be lured and used for political mischief particularly at this point
in time that race for 2023 general electionsis fast approaching, pointing out that
the traditional institution will continue to recognize and confer awards on those
who contribute meaningfully to the social, economic and peace development
within its domain.

Earlier Chairman of the Katsina-Daura Community Development Association in
the State, Alhaji Rabiu Yahaya Bindawa expressed appreciation for the warm
reception often accorded them at the palace and particularly the conferment of
title on Engr. Mansur Nakande as Makaman-Jos, adding that such gestures
amongst many others goes a long way to show how accommodative and
receptive the Jos Joint Traditional Council is.
