The Berom People of Gyel, Jos South

Gyel is a prominent Berom (Birom) community in Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State. The people of Gyel have deep ancestral connections to the Jos Plateau and preserve the Berom language, traditional institutions, customs and cultural heritage. Gyel forms an important part of the wider Berom communities in Jos South and Plateau State.
