The Berom Educational and Cultural Organization (BECO), is greatly traumatized by the sad news of the sudden demise of Maj. Gen. Dung M. Chong (rtd), our member, brother and illustrious son of the land.
- The departed had a stainless career in the military and was gradually adjusting into civil life, on retirement, when the cold hands of death snatched him.
- While we are pained at the very sad and irreparable loss, we are however, consoled in the knowledge of the word of God that it’s appointed unto man to die. As mortals, we shall all keep this inevitable appointment, when our journey here comes to an end.
- We are further encouraged by the fact that he died in Christ, which is the confident assurance he is merely sleeping.
- We pray God to comfort the wife, children, family, Vwang community, Beromland and the nation at large, knowing that a tree is fallen.
