PIDAN SWEARS IN NEW EXECUTIVES

PIDAN, the Plateau Initiative for the Advancement of the Natives, has sworn in its new executives, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the organization. The ceremony, held at Teest Hotel Rayfield in Jos, was a vibrant event that drew well-wishers from Plateau State and neighboring states.

New Executive Team:

  • President: Amb Nanpon Danjuma Sheni
  • Vice President 1: Da Gyang Dudu Dalyop
  • Vice President 2: Da Alpha John Dakwak
  • Secretary General: Amb Danjuma Dickson Auta
  • PRO: Mr Dakama Sunday Emmanuel
  • Financial Secretary: Prof David L. Wonang
  • Treasurer: Hon. Pefun Joshua Ndom

Outgoing President Prof Aboi Madaki highlighted his team’s achievements, including reaching out to all 56 ethnic nationalities, uniting them, and promoting awareness of the true identity of Plateau people. He praised Governor Mufwang’s promising start and expressed optimism about Plateau’s future.

Amb Sheni, the new president, vowed to lead an inclusive administration, recognizing that Plateau tribes face similar challenges requiring a unified approach.

Governor Caleb Mutfwang, represented by Dr Sam Godongs, emphasized community development’s crucial role in building society and pledged partnership with organizations driving progress.

The event also featured goodwill messages from notable figures, including Mr Solomon Suukum of CONAECDA and Mr Timothy Gandu of CIMBO.

As PIDAN embarks on this new journey, its membership, comprising presidents and secretary-generals of Plateau State community development associations, looks forward to a fruitful tenure.
