Today, 30th November 2025, in a warm ceremony that celebrated service and steadfast commitment to community development, the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN), Local Church Council (LCC) Sot-Vwang of Jos South LGA presented an Award of Recognition to Da Gyang Dudu Dalyop, BECO President Worldwide. The award acknowledges his consistent contributions to the church and the wider Berom community.

The presentation — held at the Sot-Vwang church premises before a gathering of church members, community leaders and invited guests — highlighted Dal Gyang Dudu Dalyop’s long-standing philanthropic support, leadership in cultural and educational initiatives, and ongoing involvement in church activities.

“We present this award in gratitude for his tireless support and for being an example of Christian stewardship in our community,” said church officials, describing Da Dalyop as a “consistent contributor” whose generosity and leadership have strengthened both spiritual life and social development.

The ceremony included prayers, hymn singing and short tributes from church leaders. Speakers praised Dalyop’s practical support — from funding small community schemes to championing education — and noted his visible presence at church events over the years.
Part of the activities for the day was the dedication of church auditorium.

Those tributes also linked Da Dudu’s role in faith-based and civic life to his public leadership: Dalyop is widely known as the President Worldwide of the Berom Educational and Cultural Organization (BECO), a position observers say has amplified his ability to mobilize resources for local development.

Church representatives described the Award of Recognition as both a thank-you and an encouragement. “This honour is our way of publicly recognising what he has done quietly over the years,” they said, adding that the gesture is meant to inspire others in the congregation to serve.

In brief remarks, Dalyop expressed gratitude to the church and dedicated the honour to the broader Berom community. He emphasized the Christian duty to serve and urged others to invest time and resources in youth education and community wellbeing. “This recognition is for all of us — the church, our partners and the young people we serve,” he said. Da Gyang Dudu Dalyop reiterated this inspiration and motivation to the philanthropic programs as a careful study of his late dad who stood firm and tall in the defense of the integrity of the Berom nation.

Da Dudu used the occasion to make donation of wrappers and some cash to over 80 widows from Vwang district.

The Traditional ruler of Vwang district, DA Gyang Gutt Balak and other community leaders at the event suggested the award could strengthen cooperation between the church, BECO and local initiatives that target education, cultural preservation and social welfare in Jos South LGA.
