THE BEROM COMMUNITY NORTH AMERICA(BCNA) HELD SUCCESFUL CONVENTION: NEW EXECUTIVE EMERGES.

The Berom Community North America (BCNA) recently held a successful convention, marking a significant milestone for the organization. The event culminated in the emergence of new officials, ushering in a fresh era of leadership for the community. The convention which was full of glamour, class, grandeur and elixir for all attendees delight and admiration.

The biennial convention was held from the 24th to 27th of July 2025 at the elegant Memorial, 14520 Memorial Dr #40 Houston Tx 77079 had dignitaries from the home front attending such as; 1.Da Engr Markus Dye, Gwom Berom Abuja who served as chairman of the occasion

In her welcome speech, President of BCNA, Ngo Felicia Chomo Sodipe expressed joy over the turn out, she encouraged participants to relax, have fun with an assurance of full packed entertainment. Reading her scorecard, Ngo Sodipe enumerated several achievements during her tenure in office, it’s important to note, she’s served BCNA for the past 8 years as President. She appreciated all members for their unalloyed support during her tenure.

The BCNA is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the welfare of Berom communities in the diaspora and the homeland. Its vision is to empower and unite Berom communities, fostering cultural preservation, social welfare, and economic development.

The convention which had its theme centered on technology as “Harnessing the Power of Technology for Socio-economic Growth of Beromland”. Keynote presenter, Amb Tabitha Hris expounded on the topic, revealing the realities and opportunities in technological atmosphere.

The convention provided a platform for members to connect, share ideas, and celebrate their rich cultural heritage. The election of new officials demonstrates the community’s commitment to growth, progress, and the preservation of their traditions.

Highlights of the convention includes paper presentations, cultural display, tour to NASA space center Houston, election/swearing in of new officials and fund-raising for the sustenance of BCNA.

As the BCNA continues to thrive, it remains focused on its core values, including unity, cultural preservation, respect, empowerment, and selflessness. With its new leadership in place, the organization is poised to tackle new challenges and opportunities, ensuring the continued prosperity of the Berom community in North America.

    Delivering his acceptance speech, Rwas Pam Davou promised to pick up from where his predecessor stopped for an enviable BCNA, he solicited for support of all and sundry with a commitment to deliver beyond expectation of members.
