Information reaching the BECO Secretariat from very reliable sources, has it that on Friday, March 20, 2026, when Muslims all over the country were observing the Eid El fitr prayers, it was a different story at the Karat (Bisichi) mosque. Here one Ibrahim Isa, a self-styled Hausa Community leader, decided to use the serene occasion to stir the embers of unnecessary crisis when he unauthoritatively, confered traditional titles on individuals.

One of the recipients was said to be an unknown figure named Alh Abdulmudallib Mudi Hardo, who bagged the title of ^Sardaunan Sabon Gidan Danyaya Bisichi^. This development appeared to be the the icing of the cake of the unrestrained invitation to a looming danger.

It is on record that our youth organization, the Berom Youth Moulders Organization (BYM), has rightly and promptly responded to this unprecedented and orchestrated display of nauseating and insensitive violation of our culture and tradition. BECO, for the purpose of emphasis, deems it necessary to comment on the matter, to reiterate that this glaring act of stupidity and irresponsibility, stands condemned, in the strongest terms.

We are not unmindful of the growing manifestation and deployment of choreographed acts of lawlessness, carefully designed and brazenly calculated by these conflict merchants, to cause a breach of the peace. We have observed with shock and utter disdain, the emergence of an alien Bukuru emirate, in the social media. This looks like a childish play that should be ignored. Unfortunately, doing so is at one’s colossal risks, knowing the calibre of people we are dealing with here. The Bukuru emirship scandal, when viewed along with the diabolical ascendancy of a coterie of idle Fulani youths in Jos , daily masquerading as social media advocates, demanding for indigeneship of Jos.

While we have maintained measured calmness, studied maturity and dignified silence, expecting the state to act, it has become very imperative that we draw the line, for these urban Fulani settlers, in our midst, posing as Hausawan Jos. This is because our silence should not be taken for granted or weakness. Doing so is only at the risk and peril of whosoever is bent on trying our resolve to defend our land, people, culture and tradition.

Karat (Bisichi) may consist of a remnant of the historic migrants of the tin mining story of Jos, but the settlement remains unarguably, part and parcel of Foron district. Though majority of the urchins and sponsors of the unease in Jos, are essentially individuals whose ancestry is deeply inscribed in the despicable prostitution industry, an important component of the social matrix of the migrants, the precursor of the present set of Hausa agitators for indigeneship of Jos, the land still has its autochthonous inhabitants and owner. Certainly, neither the Fulani nor Hausa are part of this.

Karat is wholly under the jurisdiction, authority and control of the Gwom Rwey Foron. Nobody, irrespective of his background, religion, economic status, social connections etc, has the right to recklessly, irresponsibly, flagrantly and clandestinely dish out titles in this, or any other part of our ancestral land.

In any case, the land on which Karat is established does not belong to the said Ibrahim Isa, the fake and unlawful title awarder. That land was usurped via colonial fiat for the purpose of tin mining, which at that time constituted public interest of the colonial government. As it is with all assets and liabilities used for, or in the public interest, such assets are usually returned to their original owners at the expiration of the said public interest. This is the case with all lands and assets of the defunct mining companies, which, unfortunately, were wrongly handed over to the grand parents of the present day Jos – based agents provocateurs, by the British miners, in conjunction with the colonial state.

BECO therefore deems it fit, necessary and urgent to unequivocally condemn the stirring up of unmitigated rascality and stupidity of Ibrahim Isa, in his assumption of powers he does not have and, going ahead to demonstrate a regime of intolerable provocation, capable of breaching the fragile peace.

We are aware of the role Bisichi has continued to play in the festering the embers of terrorist attacks on our communities in Gwol, Riyom and Jos South LGAs. This is a known storehouse of the terrorists, surprisingly fortified as a safe haven for hardened criminals. This is sadly so to state, with a strong military checkpoint staged in the locality, obviously, more for the benefit of terrorists than for the indigenes.

BECO immediately calls on the security agents to arrest all the characters and challatants involved in the caricature of juvenile delinquency that took place at the mosque, for proper interrogation and diligent prosecution. This is because these acts are capable of breaching the peace.

We call on the Foron Traditional Council and Barkin Ladi LG authorities to quickly wade into the matter, without further delay, as it portends unimaginable dangers. The state authorities must rise to its duty of safeguarding our culture and tradition from being bastardized by a roaming congregation of conflict entrepreneurs.

The attention of the Berom Educational and Cultural Organization (BECO), is drawn to a story in the West African Pilot, newspaper dated 11th of February, 2026, and widely circulated in the social media. The story titled, ‘farmers-herders in Plateau state sign peace pact’, is anything but true, reliable, credible and honest, lacking in both moral and professional integrity. In any case we in Berom land have no farmer-herder divide in anyway or guise. Therefore the concocted story of 25 peace pacts at best, serves the purpose of manipulation by its authors and sponsors.

BECO wish to categorically state that it is completely unaware of any such peace pacts, either endorsed by or on behalf of our people, betwee us and herdsmen terrorists. We cannot, in the circumstance either confirm or allude to the existence of any. For any such a pact to be signed there are laid down procedures, that must be followed. No one has the authority to casually enter into an agreement on behalf of any portion of Berom land without the due authorization of the traditional institution of the land.

No organization, individual or groups of individuals have approached us in the BECO or any other organizations in the land, to that effect. Peace pacts are not entered into with frightened, traumatized and devastated villagers, who in most occasions, lack the capacity to adequately discuss/analyse with understanding, the intent and letter of what they are being misled into appending their thumb prints to.

All genuine and well – intentioned CSOs are very much conversant with this position. Besides, if these 25 pacts were aimed at guaranteeing peace, how come that in less than one month between December 16 to mid January, we lost over 30 lives, from Fan, Vwang, Kuru, Foron? Were these areas not covered by the pacts?

We are disillusioned to read in the social media of 25 pacts, with our people, without our knowledge. This is more of fiction than reality and smells of crafted mischief. BECO is convinced that there must have been a genuine error somewhere in the whole arrangement of the report in question.

We appeal to our people to remain calm and ignore any claims, irrespective of the possibility of their reliability, of any peace pacts. None exists for now and in view of our subsisting ban on all forms of dialogues, roundtable conferences, joint activities, with the terrorists for the purpose of brockering peace. This is because past attempts in this direction never produced any meaningful results. The terrorists have instead, manipulated such occasions to launder their false narratives of farmers – herders clashes, to deliberately generate confusion in the polity.

Universally, terrorism has never been defeated through peace sessions between the terrorists and their victims.

It has become necessary for the Berom Educational and Cultural Organization (BECO) to once more call on our people to note the deepening security situation in our land and its attendant bloody consequences on lives and properties. We have reluctantly resumed the unenviable task of mass burial of our people.

That there’s an upsurge in terrorist activities targeting our villages, is no gainsaying. Equally, that some of the casualties from the targeted killings usually emerge through avoidable means, bordering on seeming carelessness, is unfortunate and regrettable.
Ambush-in-the-night strategy, employed by the terrorists undoubtedly, has accounted for a substantial proportion of the casualties. This is obviously avoidable.

BECO is compelled to revisit our earlier warning advisory to all our communities to beware of the times and seasons we are in. The influx into our communities of terrorists from other parts of the north, should signal a strong sign of a hanging danger to us. We must therefore strategise to effectively contend with the impending dark clouds hanging over us.

We therefore, call for proactive readiness and instant alertness on the part of all our people. Towards this end, we call on our traditional rulers in particular, to please direct all sub group leaders under them, to observe and enforce the following:

All activities and festivities must end by 6:00 pm and venues must completely deserted by 6:30 pm.

All inter village movements after 6:30 pm are prohibited. People are advised to stay the night wherever they find themselves by 6:30 pm.

Leaderships of groups are encouraged to liaise and relate with neighbouring villages during their night patrols to abreast themselves with unusual movements and occurrences around them.

Night mining is suspended herewith, until appropriate security arrangements and protocols are put in place, shortly. This is to guarantee the safety of the miners.

We note that this directive may conflict with some narrow interests and comfort of a few individuals. However, the need to safeguard and protect life and property is paramount in times like this. We have acted in the overall interest of the land and therefore appeal to all to respond in same manner. We shall soon overcome if we faint not in this day of adversity.
God bless the Berom nation.

The Berom Educational and Cultural Organization (BECO), the umbrella organization of the Berom nation, notes with tremendous satisfaction and appreciation, the commencement of decisive steps by the United States, to permanently end the spiraling and ravaging genocidal killings of Nigerians in general and Christians in particular. We are particularly glad that right from 2001 when the present sequence of deadly killings of innocent and defenceless villagers, raping of women, kidnappings, land grabbing, destruction of farms, by Fulani’ terrorists on the Plateau, was inaugurated, this is the very first time a genuine step at frontally addressing the menace is being taken.

BECO is of the opinion that the intervention by the United States under President Donald J. Trump, which couldn’t have come at a better time is divinely ordained. This we are equally convinced is the only appropriate way to permanently end the programmed agenda of human carnage in our country.

We therefore urge the POTUS to intensify and deepen the airstrikes, particularly towards the Middle Belt, where an undignified silence from the seat of state power has invariably imprinted ab ignominious stamp of official acceptance and tolerance to this evil act of bloodletting.

As we join our brothers and sisters in Benue, Taraba, Southern Kaduna and other ravaged areas of the Middle Belt, we call on the President of the United States, Donald Trump, to beware of doubletalkers and terrorist enablers, locking in the seat of government, particularly the office of the National Security Adviser, Ministry of Defense and elsewhere, who will easily and willingly sabotage genuine intentions, for ethnic chauvinism.

Meanwhile, we look forward to the rapid expansion of the airstrikes to Plateau state, to dislodge the endemic groups of terrorists secured in prime localities backed by the federal might.

“We present this award in gratitude for his tireless support and for being an example of Christian stewardship in our community,” said church officials, describing Da Dalyop as a “consistent contributor” whose generosity and leadership have strengthened both spiritual life and social development.

Those tributes also linked Da Dudu’s role in faith-based and civic life to his public leadership: Dalyop is widely known as the President Worldwide of the Berom Educational and Cultural Organization (BECO), a position observers say has amplified his ability to mobilize resources for local development.

Church representatives described the Award of Recognition as both a thank-you and an encouragement. “This honour is our way of publicly recognising what he has done quietly over the years,” they said, adding that the gesture is meant to inspire others in the congregation to serve.

In brief remarks, Dalyop expressed gratitude to the church and dedicated the honour to the broader Berom community. He emphasized the Christian duty to serve and urged others to invest time and resources in youth education and community wellbeing. “This recognition is for all of us — the church, our partners and the young people we serve,” he said. Da Gyang Dudu Dalyop reiterated this inspiration and motivation to the philanthropic programs as a careful study of his late dad who stood firm and tall in the defense of the integrity of the Berom nation.

Da Dudu used the occasion to make donation of wrappers and some cash to over 80 widows from Vwang district.

The Traditional ruler of Vwang district, DA Gyang Gutt Balak and other community leaders at the event suggested the award could strengthen cooperation between the church, BECO and local initiatives that target education, cultural preservation and social welfare in Jos South LGA.

The Commissioner, Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, Plateau State, Hon. Caroline Panglang Dafur has appointed Da Gyang Dudu Dalyop as member Women, Peace and Security (WPS) 3rd State Action Plan Implementation Committee (SAPIC). This SAP Implementation Committee is aimed at advancing gender equality, Peace building and inclusive security in the state, and it’s expected to run from 23rd October 2025 to 31st December 2029.

The SAP serves as the primary multi-stakeholder platform responsible for coordinating, implementing, monitoring, and reporting on the 3rd State Action Plan on Women , Peace, and Security (WPS) in Plateau State.

This development is in conformity with the United Nation Security Council Council Resolution (UNSCR 1325), a landmark resolution from 2,000 that links women’s experiences in conflict to the maintenance of international peace and security. It calls for the equal and full participation of women in peace processes, acknowledges the disproportionate impact of conflict on women and girls, and stresses the need to protect women from gender – based violence in conflict zones. This resolution initiated the broader Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) agenda, which has been expanded by subsequent resolutions.

Key aspects of UNSCR 1325 include; participation, protection, conflict prevention and resolution and implementation.

This appointment is no doubt a recognition of Da Gyang Dudu Dalyop giant strides and monumental impact in shaping and creating an enduring roadmap for the activities of the WPS structure through one of its networks, HeForShe which he serves as state co-ordinator.

This appointment will see the team show strong support and commitment in the implementation and monitoring of the SAP in HeForShe sector, contribute data, insights, and reports on WPS related interventions, promote collaboration and institutional alignment with the SAP and LAP and finally champion the mainstreaming of gender and WPS principles in state and community development initiatives.

Dr Kim went down memory lane to portray the landmark transformative evolution of BECO which according to him has projected the berom nation in good light. He opined that the nation has gained much respect and honour from other Plateau nationalities as a result of the leadership style the berom nation has displayed. The psychological war and dominance in the political landscape is a function of the strength of the socio-cultural organizations of the land.

Dr Kim said, in the midst of numerous challenges bedeveling the land, the nation must not focus on the challenges, but team up with one another to conquer them squarely. He stressed that the Berom nation must remain dominant in the scheme of things on the Plateau as well as the middle belt, “this agenda must be pursued vigorously for a continuous relevance”. He reminded the Berom nation to be grateful for past, be thankful for today and engage the future with hope. To him, this is the bedrock for any meaningful turnaround.

Dr Daniel Kim, said the continuous recycling and application of old unproductive ideas in this contemporary world will not amount to any meaningful and instrumental result.
The presenter took questions from the audience to wrap up his session.

In conclusion, while steering the discussion, BECO President, Da Gyang Dudu Dalyop appreciated the robust discussion, and assured everyone that it was worth their time. Da Gyang Dudu said, unlocking the potentials inherent in everyone is a function of determination. He said, BECO doesn’t belongs to him, as such no one should ascribe the glory of the organization to him but to the entire Berom nation.

A communique is expected to be issued in a later date which will be presented to His Majesty the Gbong Gwom Jos.
