<p>The much anticipated launch of maiden sport development in Berom land tagged Berom Sport Development Association (BESDA), a brain child of Mr Geoffrey Botson, a seasoned sport enthusiast and grassroot sport development coach was symbolically launched today 1st March 2025 at the Bukuru mini stadium to kick start the competition which will have all the districts in Berom feature.</p>

<p>The launched achieved with a symbolic kick off by the distinguished Senator representing Plateau North at the National Assembly, Sen Pam Dachung Gyang alongside the BECO President Worldwide Da Gyang Dudu Dalyop, Chairman of BESDA Mr Geoffrey Botson and other Berom illustrious sons and daughters. Speaking briefly on the importance of the initiative, Sen Dachung Gyang lauded the dream of the visioneer and called on all Berom to embrace the initiative which is aimed at showcasing the rich sport endowment in the land. The senator support the initiative with a sum of One Million Naira (1,000,000) only.</p>

<p>It&#8217;s important to note that this tournament will be played in four designated venues as Bukuru mini stadium , Du mini stadium, Plateau State Polytechnic play ground and GSS Riyom play ground. Sport lovers are encouraged to get ready for an entertaining display of the Berom talents.</p>

<p>BECO, as the mother body of Berom Organizations and operates Programmes that promote the culture and protect the heritage &amp; identity of the Berom Nation in Plateau State, Nigeria, and globally. BESDA, a registered Non-Profit Organization in Nigeria and is seeking collaboration, guidance and partnership with BECO. This MoU seeks to grant BESDA the right to become a partner/member of BECO, with access to BECO&#8217;s Organization and partners.</p>

<p>Signing on behalf of BECO, Da Gyang Dudu Dalyop expressed satisfaction with the proposed blueprint which looks appealing for the advancement of sports in Berom land. He urged the organizers not to dissipate the energy but keep pushing till the dream come true.</p>

<p>The visioneer and president of BESDA Mr Geoffrey David Bottson reiterated his readiness and commitment to develop the sport sector of Berom nation to a new level where its refined athletes and player can compete favourably as far as sport is concerned. Mr Bottson a seasoned sport agent and scout who has earned for himself credit in facilitating the movement of sport talents overseas said he is inviting other scouts to grace the event.</p>

<p>In the interim with focus on football development, preparation is in its advanced stage towards commencement of Berom district competition/soft launch which is slated for 1st March 2025. All thirteen districts of Berom nation are expected to participate in the tournament.</p>

<p>It will interest you to note that this upcoming tournament has the total support, partnership and blessings of Plateau Football Association (PFA). With this development, the Berom nation is yet on course to set another record as a pioneer tribe on the Plateau to showcase their prowess through sport.</p>



<p>At the end of the tournament, Trophy, Medals, Certificates and other prizes are up for grasp.</p>
