BECO BESTOWS COL M.D. ABDULSALAM WITH DISTINGUISHED STAR AWARD.

Today December 3rd, 2022 history was made as the Berom nation apex body the Berom Educational and Cultural Organisation (BECO) bestowed a distinguished star award on the commander sector 4 Gwol, Barkin Ladi, Col. M.D. Abdulsalam for outstanding performance in his given assignment. Eulogies and encomiums were showered on the recipient by the BECO President worldwide, Da Gyang Dudu Dalyop who described Col Abdulsalam as professional and an astute soldier who distinguished himself among his peers.

Presenting the award on behalf of Berom nation, HRH the Gwom Rwey Gwol Da Edward Mashat Bot expressed delight for the outstanding performance of the soldier in the course of his stay in his domain. He prayed for protection, good health and long life for Col. Abdulsalam. The Gwom Rwey thereafter decorated Col Abdulsalam with the adorning Berom attire.

Though a Congress meeting which later turned glamorous with the euphoria of the award presentation, BECO President Da Gyang Dudu Dalyop capped it all by naming the gallant officer with a famous Berom name “GYANG”. Reading his rich citation to the admiration of the audience, there’s no doubt about the sterling qualities of Col Abdulsalam.

In his response/remark, Col Abdulsalam thanked the entire Berom nation for the award which he described as a surprise he never expected. Abdulsalam described the people of Gwol to be hospitable and accommodating where he enjoyed stay throughout the period of his stay.
